If you wish your breasts were larger, fuller or more shapely, breast augmentation, or enlargement may be the right choice for you. It is a cosmetic procedure that uses implants to enlarge the shape of your breasts. We will offer some basic information about the procedure here, however the best way to get complete answers to specific questions is to have a personal consultation with Dr. Schutz.



Women who desire larger breasts, women with a moderate degree of breast sagging and smaller breasts, and women who have one breast that is noticeably smaller than the other. Other candidates are women whose weight loss has changed the size and shape of their breasts, or after having children, your breasts have become smaller and have lost their firmness.


The results will be larger and more shapely breasts which may help in having a more positive self image.


The procedure is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. A small incision is made and a saline implant is inserted under the breast tissue or under the breast tissue and the underlying muscle.


You will go home without a bra and Dr. Schutz will advise you when you are able to wear one again. The initial discomfort is controlled with oral medication and the sutures are usually removed in 7-12 days. Light activity can be resumed as tolerated, aerobic activities can be started in about 3 weeks.
